Reads like a novel and gives the reader a very realistic look at how crazy things were at times in an undeclared war that our leaders apparently didn't think could be won. As a blue-water Vietnam vet, I very much enjoyed reading this and again felt guilty for being essentially a REMF. Strongly recommended to anyone who wants a realistic snapshot of what our troops went through after the huge American buildup in the late 60s.
